Stay and Play Clubs (After School)

The fun continues after school at our ‘Stay and Play’ afternoon programmes. Kids can dive into more fun activities, building lasting friendships and creating memories beyond the classroom, all before heading home for quality family time. Key Stage 1 children are collected or dropped at a designated meeting point while Key Stage 2 make their own way to the club. All children must be signed out by an adult over 16 who is named on that child’s registration form.

The Welldon Park Academy Rise then Shine

Our Rise and Shine Breakfast Club is the perfect way for your child to start their school day! We set a positive tone through a variety of energizing activities and delicious, nutritious food. From enjoyable breakfast moments to calming morning meditations, we ensure your child steps into school ready to embrace the day. We are excited to trial the Free Breakfast Club scheme being introduced by the government in April 2025. The session runs from 08:05 to 08:35 and is free of charge for all families. If you book the full session from 07:30 to 08:35, the free 30 minutes is already included in the price, so there’s no need to book separately. At the end of the session, children can head directly to their classrooms. For Early Years children, our team will accompany them via a walking bus to the Kingsley Road site, where they will go to their classrooms.
