Our Holiday HQ programme will enhance the experience of attending a JAG school holiday club! We have a lot more structure across all of our clubs, as well as being able to offer our families full access to the daily schedule of activities and events that children can enjoy. Holiday HQ is already endorsed by families in Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland, as it offers a fresh theme for each holiday period, delivering a vibrant mix of activities every day. From arts and crafts to sports and STEM, each day brings something new and exciting, ensuring there’s something for everyone!

At Holiday HQ, every day is brimming with exciting activities designed to captivate and engage children.

Our daily schedule combines planned activities with opportunities for children to share their own ideas, ensuring each day is filled with fun and unforgettable memories.

Each week also features a Special Event and a Make and Take session, allowing children to get creative and bring home the joy and memories of camp. Additionally, with two unique Daily Themed Activities tailored to the day's theme, every day provides fresh and imaginative experiences that guarantee plenty of fun.

• Special Events: Children will enjoy unique performances, games, and activities brought directly to them by expert facilitators. From epic dance parties and sports clinics to hands-on cooking fun, each week offers a fresh and exciting experience.

• Make & Take: Children will craft their own unique creations to take home as Holiday HQ souvenirs! Whether it’s arts and crafts, DIY science experiments, or designing their own t-shirt, each creation becomes a treasured Holiday HQ keepsake.

• Daily Themed Activities: Each day, children embark upon a new adventure with our exciting themed activities! Every school holiday revolves around a central theme, introducing fresh and engaging experiences daily. Two hero activities, related to the day's theme, ensure that children remain engaged and entertained every day.

Most Junior Adventures Group holiday clubs and wraparound care clubs accept primary school-aged children between the ages of 4-11 (in years Reception to Year 6), depending on the venue. Please find your local venue page for further details.

Please note that our leisure venues, due to Ofsted regulations, can only welcome children from the age of 5 for children in Year 1. We also have some Rise then Shine and Stay and Play venues that are able to welcome children from the age of 3.

No two days are ever the same at Holiday HQ, and each holiday period promises experience types (Make & Take, Special Events and Daily Themed Activities), planned activities with opportunities for children to share their own ideas, ensuring each day is filled with fun and unforgettable memories. What is consistent, however, is the way we carefully structure our club days to give children a wide breadth of activities and experiences they love. For them, it’s all about fun!

For parents, it’s also reassuring to know that our Holiday HQ programme prepares children for life, with an important role for every child in every session.

Junior Adventures Group does not provide food (unless you have booked via the HAF programme - please contact our friendly JAG customer care team if you would like further information on this) at our Holiday HQ clubs, so our families will need to ensure that they pack a healthy and nutritious lunch for their children.

Please also note that all JAG clubs are also nut-free zones.

Packed lunch recommendation: Please bear in mind that refrigeration is not available at our settings, so please follow our recommendation for your child(ren's) lunch; non-fizzy drinks, fresh and non-processed food such as fruit, vegetables, wholemeal bread and biscuits, raisins, natural yoghurts, crackers as well as ice packs, frozen gel or frozen juice drinks.

Drinking water is always available - please ensure your child brings a water bottle with them!

Please factor in our unpredictable English weather for our holiday clubs, whether that’s sun cream and sun hat or waterproofs and warmer clothing.

With a wide variety of activities on offer every day, your children will be most comfortable in practical activewear. You might also want to provide a change of clothes that you don’t mind getting messy in outdoor play or arts & crafts!

We always suggest that any clothing or items brought to club are clearly labelled and ask that children don't bring any valuable toys or belongings to club, as JAG cannot be held responsible if they go missing.

If applicable, don’t forget to pack a swimming kit, swimming aids (if required) and a towel for your child.

Junior Adventures Group does not provide food (unless you have booked via the HAF programme - please contact our friendly JAG customer care team if you would like further information on this) at our holiday clubs, so our families will need to ensure that they pack a healthy and nutritious lunch for their children to keep them fuelled for the fun day ahead!

We recommend healthy options with a selection of proteins, fruit, veg & carbohydrates that will enable children to remain alert and active all day. There are plenty of sugar-free snacks which can also ensure children can stock up during our breaks, such as crackers, popcorn, dried fruit & much more!

Children will also have access to water to fill up their water bottles. To ensure all children are safe, please note that all our Holiday Clubs are nut-free zones, including items that state ‘May include nuts’.

Please note that if you have a booking through HAF, lunch is provided, and children will only need to bring a refillable water bottle.

We're proud to support a large number of local authority partners in delivering the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme during the Easter, Summer and Winter school holidays.

Set up by the UK Government and rolled out across local authorities in 2021, HAF supports families during the school holidays who are working but financially struggling or whose children are in receipt of free school meals. Research has shown that the school holidays can put pressure on families, and lead to children:

• Having less access to organised out-of-school activities

• Being more likely to experience 'unhealthy holidays' in terms of nutrition and physical health

• Being more likely to experience social isolation

As a result the HAF programme provides funding to local authorities and childcare providers, such as Junior Adventures Group, so that we can support local families and offer free-funded spaces at our holiday clubs. Since 2021, evidence has shown that free holiday club spaces have a positive impact on children and young people.

For families eligible to receive HAF funding, please ensure you have registered through your local authority if required.

Please note that some local authorities use their own booking systems, so be sure to check first. If you have been advised to use the Junior Adventures Group booking system, then follow the below steps to secure your child(ren)'s place:

*Parents who have already registered should be able to skip steps 1 & 2

1. Please create an account/login to your online account and secure your place online by clicking our 'Book Now' button.

2. Please confirm that you have read the Terms and Conditions

3. Add your desired HAF Holiday Club location as the centre

4. Add your child(ren) to your account before attempting to make a booking

5. Ensure all the Consent questions, Collector, Emergency Contacts and Doctor details are added.

6. After this, click on ‘Book Activity’ and select the relevant HAF activity – this will ensure your booking is free.*

7. Select the dates you wish to book!

8. Enter your URN and HAF promo code (you should have received this from your school or local authority) at checkout.

*Please ensure to book under the 'Holiday Activity Fund ONLY' activity and apply the promo code sent to you by your local authority or School; otherwise, you will be charged for your booking. Please note that some local authorities will send a Unique Reference Number (URN). This will also need to be applied to your booking where necessary.

At JAG, we offer children unforgettable and enriching experiences. As part of this, we occasionally partner with external providers to deliver Special Events/Days. Special Events can range from ZooLab visits to Silent Discos and so much more!
