In 2026, Junior Adventures Group proudly nominated Bookmark Reading Charity as our chosen Charity, dedicated to wanting every child to read and improving literacy skills in primary schools, with a strong focus on supporting children in the most disadvantaged communities.
Together with their partners and supporters, Bookmark Reading Charity has reached 180,979 children through their literacy programmes and delivered 40,239 one-to-one reading sessions, seeing a 92% increase in children supported compared to the previous year. Here at JAG, we are proud to help contribute to this and support children in discovering the joy of reading and ultimately building a brighter future for each child.

Bookmark Reading Charity delivers essential reading support and resources to children who need them most, reaching them by partnering with primary schools and organisations like JAG. With a focus on supporting children in disadvantaged areas, they have grown a brilliant network of volunteers, partners and supporters. Throughout 2024/25, Bookmark Reading Charity have brought the joy of reading to 180,979 children. Our Commitment to Closing the Literacy Gap
As part of our ongoing commitment to Bookmark Reading Charity, Junior Adventures Group aims to get children reading across the country through our team volunteering initiative. By embracing this charity partnership, we will play a crucial role in helping Bookmark to spark the joy of reading in as many children as possible. Currently, one in four children in England leave primary school unable to read well, limiting their potential in school and beyond. Through dedicated one-to-one support, we can provide children with the reading skills they need for a brighter future.
