On 21st October 2025, Junior Adventures Group UK was proud to support the School Aged Childcare Association (SACA) at the Houses of Parliament for the launch of their new white paper, Every Child, Every Opportunity – Stabilising the Future of Wraparound Childcare Beyond 2026.

The white paper calls for urgent reform to secure the future of wraparound childcare in England – a vital service that supports working families and strengthens communities nationwide.

Key Findings

The report highlights the crucial role wraparound childcare plays for parents and carers across the country:

  • 82% of parents say affordable wraparound care is essential to their family.

  • 73% say cost influences their decision to use it.

  • 86% have reduced their working hours due to affordability challenges.

  • 38% say childcare policy impacts how they vote.

Without long-term reform, the 2026 funding cliff threatens to leave families without access to essential childcare support and providers without the stability they need to operate.

A Call for Government Action

To protect and strengthen the wraparound childcare sector, SACA is urging the Government to:

  1. Undertake a National Review – assessing the impact of a subsidised model for school-aged childcare.

  2. Establish a Cross-Department Taskforce – to develop a cohesive national childcare strategy.

  3. Launch a New Wraparound Care Programme by 2026 – ensuring a sustainable, affordable childcare system that empowers parents and enriches children’s lives.

Collaboration for Change

It was fantastic to meet with Members of Parliament to discuss the proposals and explore opportunities to work together on meaningful reform. These conversations mark an important step towards a more sustainable future for families, providers, and the wider childcare sector.
